Marchelle Horner,

Account Executive, ACT

Marchelle Sutton Horner is currently serving as ACT Account Executive where she have been since Oct. 2015. She served 4.5 years as Education Consultant in Career Development with North Carolina Department of Public Instruction in Raleigh. She has twenty-two years of experience in education serving as middle school lateral entry business teacher, athletic director, coach, Career & Technical Education adviser, Special Populations & Career Development Coordinator, and school administrator. In all of the roles she finds that her passion lies with making sure students are prepared for life after high school. Mrs. Horner has a strong background in the career planning process and credentialing, particularly ACT WorkKeys. Marchelle received recognition for her work with career planning at the state level. In May 2013 she was recognized by Futures for Kids as the 2013 F4K Educator Partner Award. Marchelle earned certification as a Job & Career Development Coach as well as a gold certification on the ACT WorkKeys assessment. Marchelle holds a Master’s degree in Education Leadership from East Carolina University and Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Mount Olive in Mount Olive NC. She is married to the love of her life, Troy. Although they do not have biological children they are godparents to several, and have their first grandson, Prince E.
