Lisa Ward

Health Science teacher, Northeast Region HOSA Board Representative

Lisa Ward, RN has been the Health Sciences Educator at Gates County High School in Gatesville, NC for the past 14 years. She was asked to start this program by the local Board of Education and was honored to do so in bringing something to the county and school for which she graduated. Having been a Registered Nurse for the past 34 years, she is very active in her church, community, and school striving to assist others and teaching her students to do the same. She has been serving on the NC HOSA Board of Directors for the past four years representing District 1. Mrs. Ward was named the 2016 NC HOSA Advisor of the year and has recently been selected as the 2018 NC HOSA Advisor of the Year. She teaches Health Team Relations, Health Sciences I, Health Sciences II, and Honors Nursing Fundamentals. Ward has been happily married to her husband for thirty-one years and is the mother of one son.
