Linda West

HSE teacher, Washington County Schools

Mrs. Linda West, RN has over thirty years of experience in the healthcare field as a registered nurse. She began her current position as the Health Science instructor and HOSA Advisor for Plymouth High School in 1991. She has multiple teacher of the year accolades from Washington County Schools, Plymouth High School, the NC Vocational Education Association, and the NC Health Occupation Education Teachers Association. Mrs. West was recognized as the NC HOSA Advisor of the Year in 2004, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2012. She was also presented the NC HOSA Honorary Lifetime membership award in 2011 and 2015. Mrs. West serves as an advocate for her students as well as new teachers and also directs HOSA competitive events at the State and International Leadership Conferences.
